   I’ve owned equipment from both comianpes and I would always choose Yamaha, because all the Yamaha gear I’ve ever purchased is still working, even after 30+ years. I can’t say the same about Peavey because I’ve owned more than a few of their amps that did not hold up. Yamaha equipment is well built and I consider it more professional than Peavey, and definitely more reliable. Their customer support is good, too. I hope this has been helpful.    Thanks for the feedback. We are strong Yamaha and Peavey Dealers. Regarding your thoughts on Peavey, I can say that I’ve always had a good experience with Peavey’s customer, warranty and parts departments. Peavey is a powerful force in the music industry, partially because they offer easy-to-use, inexpensive options. The inherent risk when you play in the field of low prices is the increased risk of breakage, that’s just part of the game.

   So long story short: you can do fine with either company!
