About the Owners

Northern California’s most energetic music store is owned by Anthony, Matt and Nick Mantova–three brothers that purchased Two Street Music in 2009. Old Town Eureka’s second street store was originally founded in 1976 and quickly rose to hometown fame–commonly known to the locals as “the place to go.”
Mantova’s Two Street Music:
-Specializes in acoustic and electric guitars
-Offers Yamaha Band and orchestra instruments
-Has Sound Systems for rent and sale
-Repair services for band, orchestra and guitar
-Accordion repair, rental and retail
-Consignment, layaway and trade friendly
-Music lessons, classes and summer clinics
-Lots of accessories, including some you may have never heard of
-Advice and knowledge for your needs.
In addition to running the two store locations, the Mantova brothers are musicians themselves. Anthony favors the Tenor Sax and has a performance background, having played first chair in the Hillsdale College Jazz Band, numerous jazz combos, symphonic band and even a pit orchestra. Nick’s instrument of choice is trumpet, and he can usually be found repairing instruments in the “Scratch N Dent” shop. Matt plays guitar, accordion and trombone, and spends a lot of time helping churches, cities and bands with their sound needs. The brothers’ father, Lindy Mantova, is an amazing accordionist–his CD is available at both locations for only $15. In fact, the Eureka store has a “super-secret” accordion showroom for those folks that enjoy box squeezing.
Since September 2009, Mantova’s Two Street Music has gained a lot of attention as they opened a second location in McKinleyville only three months later.. In 2010, they were featured twice in Music Inc. Magazine as a “Civic Leader” and covered in the “Ask the Retailer” section. In 2010 Mantova’s also gained the Small Business of the Year award from the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce, an award given for “innovative marketing.” The following year in 2011, the Summer NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show announced that Mantova’s Two Street Music had attained a place among the Top 100 Dealer Awards. Since 2012, Two Street Music has been crowned a Yamaha “Pro-Combo” retailer, a special status that few stores enjoy as Mantova’s specialize in Yamaha guitars, keyboards, pro-audio, and drums. In addition, Mantova’s is a Yamaha Rosewood Dealer, firmly committed to representing the full line of Yamaha’s acoustic guitars. In 2013, Mantova’s invested in all seven of Yamaha’s double-cutaway SBG guitars, the only American retailer to showcase Yamaha’s very best electrics.
Customers can count on great selection and compelling inventory. Trade is encouraged and the subsequent result is unique inventory. Mantova’s team up with brands that offer high quality and a good vendor/retail relationship.

This is a great bunch of people and I consider myself Blessed to have been able to shop at MTS Music. The service is great and any questions you have can be addressed with your needs in mind. The team will go above and beyond to help you with all your needs. Stop by and shop, then make great music to share with us all. Thanks MTS Music, Kevin Moore
Thanks Kevin. We really appreciate that, along with just the across-the-board support we have gotten from the Humboldt community. It’s been an honor.
Two Street Music has become an energenic store that cares about the quality in service and the quality in gear that they provide. I drive over 15 miles and pass by two other music stores because I’m never disappointed nor am I “creeped out” by the employees.
Thanks Shawn! Thanks for making the long commute and choosing us.
hey are you guys related to Lindy? Lindy and I took accordian lessons from gene ambrosini together back in the 50s-early 60s.
